Diplomacy is deceiving. Oh lady of the scales, the eyes of the snake charmer lay hidden behind your blind. Venusian politics are far off from the hot shot of Martian law.

The lens of Libra is one of peace and non-aggression. It can take a great act of willpower to hold your personal energy (Mars/Aries) and make space for someone else.

Being a cool, collected channel for other people to amplify and reflect their signal off of can be a daunting task at times. It requires that the ambitions of the receiver be set on the back burner so that one may focus on listening to the party who is taking the place of the projector.

This can create conflicts that are seen quite strongly in the dynamics brought in by the crossing axis of Cancer/Capricorn, where the nodal axis is currently in square to the transiting planets passing through Libra. Cancer, wishing to express and explore its own feelings for fulfillment can often get in the way of the more social senses of Libra. Capricorn, wishing to pursue its own ambitions, may seem callous and uncaring in moments where consideration for the partner become paramount.

Peace as the cessation of conflict becomes the gem of the Libran mantle. We all have conflicts throughout our daily existence. We get to make the choice to continue the fight or attempt a reconciliation with our efforts. Often abandoned for the slow moving tectonic drift of resentment which holds fast through begrudging connections, the virtue of diplomacy is scoffed at by warmongers, and laughed at by those who would rather take an eye for the one they’ve lost.
