We arrive here on the eve of so many great conjunctions of capricious entities and spirits with so much further to climb. The sweet nutrients of the pool which holds us from the ocean’s stronger currents holds the keys to strengthening our personal and collective shells into a form which will not chip away at what remains of the chitinous carapaces of our seasons past.
Cancer represents the home, the mother, the inner child. It is absolutely necessary to continue to bathe in the warmth and comfort of the places closest to us to stand as a firm reminder of what it is that we defend with our sojourns into the great world beyond our front door.
If we can’t comfort the child who is fearful of the monsters under their bed, then those same demons will break down the barriers that keep us safe. Huffing, puffing, billowing with smoke, everything we hold dear can be swept away in the blink of an eye.
The most vulnerable time in the hermit crab’s life is that tender moment between shells. Scuttling between the rocks to avoid the swift eel or octopus which may attempt an easy meal, this is the time where senses must be most keen, and silence through stillness is the greatest ally through which the newly grown crustacean must seek structure.
I hope that you all have wondrous new opportunities to discover new crevices in the light of this Eclipse. Continue to sift through the sands of the past for any forgotten nutrients which may boost your battery in the coming months of famine which so iconically identify the biting cold winter of Capricorn season.
Draw in the warm waters to set steam upon the snow.
